Capstone Partners Advised Rightsflow on its Sale to Google
Capstone Partners advised Rightsflow, a New York-based technology company, on their sale to Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) YouTube video-sharing property.
RightsFlow helps identify owners of music that people use in videos they post. The RightsFlow database – which houses over 30 million songs from 10,000 labels, according to Mashable – will be used to identify which content is copyrighted, and will likely be paired with Google’s Content ID system – the current method Google uses to track that information.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
