Challenge: Company filed for protection under Chapter 11 due to liquidity issues. The Lender believed the Company and management misappropriated funds and did not allow the Company to manage cash during the bankruptcy proceedings.
Solution: Hired as financial advisor to monitor the operations and cash during the Chapter 11 proceedings. Also hired to provide Debtor advisory services in the bankruptcy proceedings, which included filing the Schedules and Statements of Financial Affairs, preparing the Monthly Operating Reports and assisting with the development of the Plan of Reorganization.
Results: Successfully monitored cash and the operations of the Company through the bankruptcy proceeding. With the bank’s support the Company emerged from bankruptcy through the sale to a financial buyer.
