Capstone Partners Advised INSA Corp. on its Acquisition of Integra Data Systems
Capstone Partners advised INSA Corp.—a leading network IT security provider—on its acquisition of Integra Data Systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
INSA Corp. is an independent, privately held company that specializes in IT network security and offers multi-threat security systems, solutions, and training to its clients and partners. The company has locations in Ottawa and Toronto. INSA secures some of the largest public sector client networks in Canada by leveraging its highly certified technical resources, recommending and deploying best-of-breed security products, and delivering situational training. The company is also a trusted OECM solution provider and the largest Fortinet reseller in Canada. INSA has partnerships with top cybersecurity, networking, and storage solution providers such as Hitachi and Dell EMC3.
INSA CEO Mario Bruketa commented, “We are very bullish on the cybersecurity industry and opportunities. This acquisition allows us to better serve our clients‘ needs. With the depth and scale of our combined resources, our organization’s customer value proposition is second to none.”
Capstone Partners provided invaluable assistance, advice, and experience in structuring the deal, working the deal with the seller, and closing the deal with INSA accounting and legal teams. Without Capstone, the deal might not have even come to fruition and surely would not have closed with the same high level of satisfaction of both the buyer and seller. Capstone was always available, not only providing expertise but also keeping both sides engaged and moving forward.
Capstone Managing Director Tom McConnell added, “It was a pleasure working with Mario and the INSA team to help the company further its inorganic growth strategy. The complimentary market footprints and cultures should be an excellent fit enabling expanded customer relationships and solution offerings.”
This acquisition will allow both entities to increase their geographic coverage with merged offerings in the IT security domain from vendors like Aruba, Extreme Networks, Palo Alto, Zscaler, A10, and Fortinet. The acquisition will allow sharing of resources to deliver a broader range of expertise to the companies’ expanded customer bases.
Government and enterprise cybersecurity spending continues to be strong despite broader economic headwinds. Value added resellers play an important role in the broader ecosystem as end-users rely on their expertise to make smart purchasing decisions and optimize data and network protections.
Integra Data Systems Corp. is a leading supplier of technology solutions in the Greater Toronto Area.
