Capstone Partners advised Hazelett Strip-Casting Corporation on its sale to the EBNER Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hazelett Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of continuous metal casting machines. Hazelett’s technology is used in metal manufacturing processes worldwide to cast aluminum, copper, zinc, and lead into metal strip and bar used to create countless products. The company is fully integrated with complete in-house engineering, manufacturing, R&D, and technical services, and it is engaged in research, engineering, design, testing, and the manufacture of its twin-belt casters, related equipment, and parts.
We were a 100-year-old company and wanted to sell a majority interest. Capstone represented us well to a speedy and successful outcome.
Together, they will offer a wide range of furnace facilities, upstream and downstream auxiliary equipment, project management, and services to the aluminum, steel, and copper base metals sectors. With the acquisition of Hazelett, the EBNER Group will be able to offer complete process lines to the aluminum flat-rolled products industry featuring Hazelett twin-belt continuous casting technology.
