Capstone Partners Expands its Aerospace, Defense, Government & Security Industry Group, Welcomes Brad Drake as Managing Director
Drake to Deepen Capstone’s Commercial Aerospace Sector Coverage
Boston, MA – Capstone Partners, a leading middle market investment banking firm, is pleased to announce that Brad Drake has joined the firm’s Aerospace, Defense, Government & Security (“ADGS”) Investment Banking Group as a Managing Director. He brings more than two decades of experience spanning investment banking and strategic advisory, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities serving clients across the ADGS industry.
Prior to joining Capstone Partners, Drake served in Lincoln International’s Industrials M&A Group, where he focused on Aerospace & Defense transactions and advised clients on strategic alternatives, value optimization, and transaction execution. Previously, he spent nearly five years in Credit Suisse’s Global Industrials Group, with a focus on Diversified Industrials and Aerospace & Defense. Earlier in his career, Drake served for more than a decade as a Computer Engineer at the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), where he led a technology-focused division supporting advanced defense simulation and weapon systems programs.
“Brad brings deep experience in investment banking and commercial aerospace industry knowledge,” said Tess Oxenstierna, Head of Capstone’s ADGS Group. “His addition strengthens our strategic goal of advising clients across the commercial aerospace value chain as we continue to expand our industry coverage.”
Drake has advised on notable transactions across the sector, including Precision Aerospace Holdings’ sale to Precinmac and Metalcraft Technologies’ sale to Arch Precision Components. This experience positions him as a trusted advisor to clients seeking to evaluate strategic alternatives and execute transactions across the commercial aerospace supply chain.
At Capstone, Drake will specialize in the Commercial Aerospace sector, advising businesses across the supply chain and maintaining relationships with strategic acquirers, private equity investors, and founder-owned companies. His role as lead contributor to Capstone’s new Commercial Aerospace M&A Update reflects the market perspective he brings to the firm and further enhances Capstone’s ongoing coverage of the ADGS industry.
“I am excited to join Capstone’s ADGS team and draw on my experience across Aerospace & Defense to help clients assess strategic opportunities and navigate complex transactions,” said Brad Drake. “Capstone’s collaborative, sector-focused approach provides a strong platform to support businesses across the aerospace ecosystem.”
