Capstone Engagement Named Turnaround of the Year by Detroit TMA

Boston, MA – Capstone Partners’ Financial Advisory Services (FAS) team’s engagement on behalf of Michigan-based S&B Umbrella Corp., an industrial metal stamping business serving the automotive industry, has been named Turnaround of the Year by the Detroit Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).

Capstone helped the company consolidate operations and complete a refinancing transaction.

“We are always focused on helping our clients resolve challenges as quickly as possible but are even more attuned to the need for expediency for automotive industry clients since any set back can send ripple effects throughout the entire supply chain,” said the lead banker on the deal.  “In this case, we had a new lender identified when a customer decided to resource their parts, requiring a pivot to consolidate operations and sell an underutilized facility and equipment before finding a new lender. In the end, the result exceeded our client’s expectations and put them on the path back to long-term success and viability.”
