Capstone Partners Continues Expansion with the Addition of Multiple Managing Directors

Boston, MA – Capstone Partners, a leading middle market investment banking firm, is pleased to announce the addition of multiple Managing Directors – Lou Castelli, Khelan Dattani, Scott Farnsworth and Beau Roy.

Lou Castelli joins Capstone as a Managing Director based in the Philadelphia office. Lou represents a wide range of business services clients throughout the US, with a specific focus on the state, local, and education (SLED) market, as well as in the sports market. He has significant transactional experience, predominately selling closely held companies to private equity groups.  Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Castelli was Managing Director at Chapman Associates, and prior to that Lou was a partner in a middle market private equity firm.  On the operator side, he was the founder of a municipal consulting company that was eventually sold to private equity.  He began his career as an investment banker with Prudential in 1999.  Lou played professional tennis before launching his career in business.

Khelan Dattani joins Capstone as a Managing Director in the Washington, DC office.  Mr. Dattani has been an advisor to middle market insurance companies for the past 15 years.  Mr. Dattani has advised insurance companies and private equity investors on over 50 transactions worth $10.0B in enterprise value, for companies operating in the Property & Casualty, Life & Health and Insurance Services sectors.  Prior to joining the firm, Khelan served as an advisor at Compass Point Research & Trading LLC. Prior to that, he worked as an advisor at B. Riley FBR based primarily in Washington, DC.  Mr. Dattani also spent one year in the corporate finance group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and two years in the assurance and business advisory services group with PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving offices located in Bombay, India.

Scott Farnsworth, with more than 20 years of professional advisory experience, joins Capstone as a Managing Director in the San Francisco office and co-leader of commercial aviation banking.   Scott advises on the placement of debt and equity financing, M&A transactions and liability management.  Scott’s clientele includes air carriers for both passenger and cargo transportation, their major suppliers and other contract counterparties.  Scott was previously a Managing Director at Imperial Capital and before that a Director at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance and its successor, Giuliani Capital Advisors. Scott’s experience includes buy and sell-side M&A representations for passenger and cargo air carriers; advising on the acquisition and financing of new and used aircraft and engines; other asset-based financings; sale-leasebacks; lease buyouts; engine and aircraft lease and debt re-negotiations; and export-import financing for aircraft, engines, and heavy engine and airframe overhauls.

Lastly, Beau Roy joins Capstone to co-lead the company’s commercial aviation banking efforts for passenger and cargo airlines, lessors, maintenance providers, and other support services.  Beau has over 20 years of experience providing investment banking, restructuring, and financial advisory services.  His experience includes the placement of debt for aircraft and engine acquisitions and refinancing, sale-leaseback transactions, public and private equity capital for growth initiatives, fleet restructurings, MRO financing, labor contract negotiations, and buy and sell-side advisory mandates. Prior to Capstone, Beau was a Managing Director at Imperial Capital and a Director at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance and its successor Giuliani Capital Advisors.
