Stephen Short is a Vice President in Capstone Partners’ Financial Advisory Services practice. He has 10 years of professional experience providing clients with a range of business services including financial audit and attestation, financial analysis and reporting, accounting operational support, SOX internal controls consulting, and software systems implementation.
Prior to joining Capstone, Stephen was a financial consulting Manager at Riveron Consulting where he advised and operationally supported clients in preparing for financial audits, designating and training employees on standard internal control processes around financial reporting, and providing technical accounting guidance where needed for clients looking to elevate their financial reporting to the next level.
Stephen’s combined experience in public accounting at Whitley Penn LLP, industry accounting at EnLink Midstream LLC, and financial advisory at Riveron has shaped him into a flexible advisor for companies across a many different industries and corporate structures. He has provided consulting services for companies at every life cycle stage, from Forbes Fortune 500 Company recipient Jacob’s Engineering to private equity backed startup BioVentrix.
