Capstone Partners Welcomes Managing Director Sunny Cheung to Special Situations Investment Banking Group

Boston, MA – Capstone Partners’ Financial Advisory Services (FAS) team is pleased to announce that Sunny Cheung has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the Special Situations Investment Banking (SSIB) group.

Mr. Cheung brings more than 20 years of experience advising middle-market, public, and private companies and their stakeholders in special situation transactions including in- and out-of-court M&A, balance sheet restructurings, liability management, and capital raises. His experience spans a broad range of industries including Industrials, Engineering and Construction, Energy, Aviation, Logistics, and Manufacturing.

Prior to joining Capstone Partners, Mr. Cheung was a Managing Director at Imperial Capital in Los Angeles where he was focused on middle-market special situation transactions. He has also held senior positions at Piper Sandler, Gleacher & Co., and PwC Corporate Finance representing companies, creditors, and other stakeholders in both conventional as well as distressed transactions. He began his professional career in the M&A group at SAIC, a Fortune 500 technical services company.
