Capstone Partners Earns Recognition for Distinguished Transaction Advisory Across Several Industries
Boston, MA – Capstone Partners is honored to share that several of its recently advised transactions are being honored by The M&A Advisor at their 13th Annual International M&A Awards in New York, NY on September 21, 2022. The event, held during their annual Leadership in Dealmaking Summit, will also include the previously announced 13th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards.
Capstone Partners is receiving the following International M&A Transaction Awards:
- M&A Deal of the Year ($100mm-$500mm) for having advised Sani-Tech West (STW) on its sale to 3i Group.
Founded in 1991, STW is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer, distributor, and integrator of single-use, high-purity bioprocessing systems and components used in the manufacture of biotechnology and pharmaceutical drugs. The transaction closed in July 2020 and was led by Capstone’s Healthcare Investment Banking Team.
- Professional Services Deal of the Year for having advised Edgewater Technical Associates on its recapitalization with Alaris Equity Partners.
Founded in 2003, Edgewater is a professional and technical services staffing firm that supports the U.S. Department of Energy; organizations involved in the commercial nuclear industry in the U.S., UK, and Canada; and other private sector business involved in other high-hazard or complex operations. The transaction, closed in December 2020, was led by Head of Business Services Investment Banking Bob Balaban. Balaban commented, “We are thrilled to be recognized for the role we played in assisting the shareholders of Edgewater to reach the next step in their journey. It was a privilege for us to represent such outstanding engineering services firm, whose management team has worked tirelessly to grow the business into the market leader that it is today. - M&A Deal of the Year ($10mm-$25mm) for having advised Talalay Global on its sale.
Talalay Global is the largest producer of Talalay, a latex foam, in the world and the only manufacturer in the United States. The material is used in millions of mattresses, pillows, and toppers around the globe. The transaction was led by Managing Partner Brian Davies.
