Capstone Partners Expands Debt Advisory Group with Addition of New Managing Director Brian Schofield

Denver, CO – Capstone Partners is pleased to announce the expansion of our Debt Advisory Group with the addition of Brian Schofield. Brian Schofield has joined the firm as a Managing Director in our Los Angeles office where his focus is serving private equity firms and private owners of middle market businesses in the placement of various forms of senior and junior corporate debt financing, including first- and second-lien debt facilities, unitranche loans, mezzanine debt, structured equity instruments, and other credit-based solutions.

In his 13+ years of corporate finance experience, Brian has developed a specialized focus in serving the capital raising needs of mid-market sponsors and private company owners, particularly those involved in complex transactions or facing financial and operational challenges.

Before joining Capstone Partners, Brian was a co-founder and Partner with Lampert Advisors, a New York-based debt advisory firm where he advised middle-market companies and financial sponsors on over $2.5 billion in completed transactions including acquisition financings, dividend recapitalizations and restructurings as well as select a select number of sell-and-buyside M&A transactions.  During his tenure at Lampert, he completed transactions across various transaction types, structures, situations and industries including: Industrials, Energy, Paper & Packaging, Environmental Services, Commercial Products and Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Retail, Metals & Mining and Building Products.  Previously, he worked with ICON Investments, a New York-based asset manager where he originated and executed senior financings for capital-intensive businesses including within the energy, general industrial and marine sectors.
