Capstone Expands Internationally with the Formation of Capstone Grenport Ltd in London
Boston, MA – London, UK – Capstone Partners LLC, a leading middle market investment banking firm, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Grenport Limited to form Capstone Grenport Ltd. Grenport Limited is a corporate finance advisory firm dedicated to serving the M&A and financing needs of emerging companies with particular expertise in the software, IT services and telecommunications industries. With a central European office in London, Grenport has developed a highly active middle market practice, led by 25-year veteran John Snead, the firm’s founding partner.
The transaction marks the latest development in Capstone’s ongoing efforts to build the premier middle market firm. In 2010, Capstone expanded into Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles with the acquisition of Morgan Stanley’s middle market M&A practice. Again, in 2012, the firm added SagePoint Advisors in San Diego and Silicon Valley to bolster its technology industry coverage. Future plans for the firm include further geographic expansion into Florida and Texas.
