Capstone Partners Advised OptiRTC on its Formation as an Independent Company from Geosyntec Consultants

Capstone Partners advised OptiRTC, Inc. (Opti) on its formation as an independent company from parent company Geosyntec Consultants with the backing of MissionPoint Partners and Renewal Funds.

Opti integrates sensors, forecasts, and environmental information to actively control stormwater infrastructure — keeping water clean and cities safe. This smart water technology was developed, piloted and commercialized within Geosyntec. It delivers intelligent control and decision support solutions to U.S. municipalities and Fortune 500 companies.

The Opti solution capitalizes on sensors, big data analytics and Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies that offer significant promise to intelligently and cost effectively manage and protect our water and other environmental assets. For instance, managing stormwater is a significant environmental challenge and represents a $60 billion commercial opportunity in the U.S. driven by EPA compliance requirements. Opti’s platform is able to optimize system-wide infrastructure performance and meet stormwater compliance needs at a fraction of the cost of prevailing solutions. It can be deployed with relative ease and provides comprehensive intelligent management of green infrastructure.
