Capstone Partners advised Advanced Lighting Technologies (ADLT), a Solon, OH-based manufacturer of energy efficient lighting materials and finished products, on the sale of its Santa Rosa, CA-based subsidiary Deposition Sciences (DSI) to Lockheed Martin, the Bethesda, MD-based global security and aerospace Fortune 100 company.
DSI’s proprietary thin film coating processes serve as excellent engineering solutions to defense and commercial challenges.

Deposition Sciences produces durable, heat resistant and reliable optical thin film coatings, spanning the range from the ultraviolet wavelength through to far infrared (FIR) or the long-wave infrared (LWIR) spectral wavelengths. The company has 85 employees overall.
